I’ve been working in SEO professionally since 2020 — managing campaigns across hosting brands, building content systems, and testing what actually works. Everything on this site comes from that real-world experience, not recycled blog posts or surface-level research.
This editorial policy explains how I approach content on digitalprahlad.com and what you can expect when you read anything here.
My Editorial Philosophy
Everything on digitalprahlad.com is based on real experience. I don’t write theoretical guides about tools I haven’t used, configured, or tested myself. If I recommend something, I’ve used it — and if I’m critical about something, I’ll explain exactly why with evidence.
The goal is simple: give you information that helps you make a better decision — not content that exists to fill a content calendar or chase a keyword.
How I Create Content
Every article starts with a real problem — something I’ve encountered in my own SEO work, a question a client has asked, or a gap I’ve noticed in how a topic is covered online.
I research the topic thoroughly, test where possible, and write from a practitioner’s perspective. I’ve managed SEO for multiple brands simultaneously — web hosting, SaaS, affiliate sites, and local businesses — so the examples and numbers I use are drawn from actual campaigns, not made up to sound convincing.
When I cite a statistic or claim, I link to the source. When something is my opinion, I say so.
How I Review Products & Tools
Every product or tool reviewed on this site goes through hands-on testing. I don’t write reviews based on vendor marketing pages or other people’s opinions.
My review process:
- I use the product myself — either on my own projects or in a client context
- I test it against real use cases relevant to SEO, hosting, WordPress, or content strategy
- I document what works, what doesn’t, and who it’s actually for
- I disclose whether I received the product for free or paid for it myself
If I haven’t used a product, I won’t review it. If my experience with a product changes after publishing, I update the review.
Editorial Independence
No advertiser, sponsor, or affiliate partner influences my recommendations.
I’ve turned down paid partnerships with products I wouldn’t recommend. I’ve written critically about tools and services even when they had affiliate programs I was part of. The affiliate link doesn’t change the verdict — the actual product does.
When I recommend something, it’s because I genuinely think it’s worth your time or money. When I don’t recommend something, I say that too — and explain why.
Affiliate Links and Monetization
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click and make a purchase, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This is one of the ways digitalprahlad.com is supported.
Affiliate relationships never change my editorial position. I only maintain affiliate relationships with products I’ve used and would recommend regardless of commission.
If I stop believing in a product, I remove the affiliate link — even if the commission is good.
Sponsored Content
I occasionally accept sponsored posts and paid collaborations, but with strict conditions.
Sponsored content on this site is always:
- Clearly labeled — you will always know when something is sponsored
- Editorially reviewed — sponsors cannot dictate conclusions or require positive coverage
- Relevant — I only work with brands relevant to SEO, hosting, WordPress, and digital marketing
I will not publish sponsored content that I wouldn’t stand behind as organic content. If a sponsor’s product doesn’t meet the bar, I decline the collaboration — regardless of what’s on offer.
Accuracy and Corrections
I try hard to get things right. But the SEO and hosting industry changes fast — tools update, algorithms shift, pricing changes, companies pivot.
When I make a factual error, I correct it promptly. Corrections are noted at the top of the article with a date so returning readers know what changed.
When an article becomes outdated in a significant way, I update it rather than let it mislead people searching for current information.
If you spot an error, please email me at [email protected] — I take corrections seriously.
Content Update Schedule
The web hosting and SEO space moves fast. Here’s roughly how I handle updates:
- Tool and product reviews — reviewed and updated when major product changes occur or when my experience with the product changes significantly
- SEO guides and tutorials — updated when Google algorithm changes, platform updates, or industry shifts make the original advice outdated
- Comparison posts — pricing and feature tables are checked periodically; significant changes are noted with an update date
- News and trend posts — these are point-in-time and generally not updated
When an article has been substantially updated, the update date is shown at the top of the post.
Originality
Every article on this site is written by me or edited by me from a brief I’ve created. I don’t scrape content, spin articles, or use AI to generate content without review and significant editorial input.
When I reference another source, I link to it. When I use data or statistics, I cite the original study or report — not a blog that cited it third-hand.
I don’t use AI outputs as finished content. I use AI as a research and drafting tool — the same way I’d use a notes app — the thinking, testing, and editorial judgment is mine.
Reader Privacy
I will never sell your email address or personal data.
If you subscribe to updates, your email is used only to send you content from digitalprahlad.com. You can unsubscribe at any time. I don’t share subscriber data with any third party or service provider beyond what’s necessary to deliver email.
Analytics tools are used to understand what content helps readers — not to build profiles for advertisers.
